Building Sale & Availability Notice

Metro New York Baptist Association (MNYBA) currently owns the building located at 236 West 72nd Street, New York, NY 10023. While the building is on the market, it remains available for short-term mission team housing.

We may consider offers if they are presented, but until a sale occurs, we are continuing to host mission teams and interns as usual.

Temporary Nature of Availability

All stays and reservations are subject to change in the event of a sale or other operational needs. MNYBA will provide at least 45 days’ notice if a confirmed reservation must be canceled due to a change in building ownership.

We encourage teams to plan with flexibility and to stay in communication with MNYBA staff regarding any concerns or updates.

Acknowledgment

By proceeding with a housing request or reservation, the undersigned acknowledges awareness that the building is currently on the market and that availability may change if an offer is accepted.

All housing stays, reservations, and facility access are considered temporary and conditional during this season. While MNYBA will make every reasonable effort to honor confirmed reservations, changes may occur due to factors related to the building sale, ownership transfer, or operational needs.

This notice is provided to ensure transparency and clear expectations for all guests and partner organizations.

No Guarantee of Future Access

The sale of the building means that long-term availability, repeat stays, or future access cannot be guaranteed beyond the currently confirmed reservation period. Policies, pricing, access, and procedures may be modified as ownership transitions.

Communication & Updates

MNYBA will communicate any material changes impacting a confirmed reservation as promptly as possible. Guests are encouraged to maintain flexibility and communicate openly with MNYBA staff throughout the reservation process.

By proceeding with a housing request, reservation, or stay, the undersigned acknowledges awareness of this building sale and understands that housing availability is subject to change during this transition period.

I understand that if the MNYBA Board of Directors votes to proceed with a sale, and the decision is confirmed by the Executive Director, MNYBA reserves the right to cancel housing reservations with a minimum of forty-five (45) days’ notice. *

I understand that if MNYBA initiates a cancellation under these circumstances, all housing-related payments will be fully refunded within thirty (30) days. *

I understand that MNYBA cannot guarantee alternative housing but may offer referrals or suggestions as available. *

I understand that this acknowledgment supplements and does not replace the MNYBA Standard Housing Agreement, and that this acknowledgment governs in the event of a conflict related to cancellation due to sale. *
