Metro New York Baptist Association is honored to host mission teams serving across New York City. Our Upper West Side building provides a simple, safe, and supportive place for teams to rest, gather, and prepare for ministry each day.

Located just one subway stop from Times Square, our housing offers convenient access to ministry sites throughout the city while maintaining a calm, community-oriented environment. Accommodations are dorm-style with shared spaces, designed to support teams as they serve churches, neighborhoods, and ministry partners across Manhattan.

Where is the MNYBA housing located?

Our building is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, just one subway stop from Times Square. This central location provides easy access to ministry sites throughout New York City.

How do we get around the city?

Teams typically use the NYC subway, buses, or walk to nearby ministry locations. We recommend using contactless payment options for public transportation.

Is parking available?

We do not provide parking. Teams driving into the city should plan to use public parking garages or street parking where available.

Is the building wheelchair accessible?

Housing is located on the fifth floor of a six-story building with no elevator. Stair access is required.

Are there age requirements for staying in the building?

Yes. The minimum age to stay in MNYBA housing is 13 years old at the time of check-in.

Is the building safe?

Yes. The building is secure and includes standard safety measures such as fire alarms and emergency exits. MNYBA staff are available to provide guidance and support during your stay.

What is provided in the rooms?

Beds, blankets, and pillows are provided. Teams must bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and personal toiletries.

Are bathrooms shared?

Yes. Restrooms are shared and are designated separately for men and women.

Can teams cook their own meals?

Yes. Teams may use the kitchen for simple breakfasts and lunch preparation. The kitchen is not suited for preparing dinner meals.

Is laundry available on site?

Laundry is not available in the building. However, there are laundromats located nearby.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building for team use.

How do we request housing?

Start by reviewing this page and submitting a Housing Request. Approved teams will receive a confirmation email with next steps. 

When is payment due?

Deposits and final payments are collected after a team is approved. Specific pricing and payment details will be outlined in your invoice.

What documents will our team need to review?

After approval, team leaders will review and acknowledge the Housing Agreement, Reservation Acknowledgment, Hold Harmless / Liability Waiver, and House Rules / Code of Conduct.

Can we cancel our reservation?

Yes. Cancellations are permitted according to our housing policies. Partial refunds may be available if cancellation occurs before the final payment deadline.

Are there rules we need to follow while staying in the building?

Yes. All teams must follow the House Rules and Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in removal from housing.
