About Us

The Metropolitan New York Baptist Association is a fellowship of more than 260 churches in 20 language groups. Our geography includes all five boroughs of New York City, northern New Jersey, Long Island, southern Connecticut and the Lower Hudson Valley . . . everything within a 50-mile radius of Times Square. Southern Baptists have been in New York City since 1963 as an association. We are part of the Southern Baptist Convention.

New York City is THE most challenging mission opportunity in the WORLD. Our opportunities are enormous. We have the city to deal with along with the diversity of groups, high cost of living, traffic, and lots of people (more than 20 million in MNYBA).

Information about our churches as well as mission opportunities here in NYC can be found at this site. Our staff is great and our churches are on the front lines of ministry. New York offers the best of the best and the worst of the worst and we want to offer God’s best to the millions without a relationship with Christ.
