Volunteers and Partnerships In our Association
There are several ways your church or individuals can serve here:

Volunteer Mission Teams
Every person who comes to the metro area is able to use their gifts, talents, and interests to serve the Lord and share God's Love with others.
The process for coming to the metro area is:
1. Email Mark Burgos at (mburgos@mnyba.org) for bringing in teams to work with our local churches, or fill out this form here and mail, email, or fax it back to us at MNYBA.
2. Receive information on our needs and call, or email the pastor or ministry directly. You can look at our 2009-2010 mission team request here.
3. Come for a pre-trip visit if needed
4. Orient your group thoroughly
5. Come prepared to be flexible and servant hearted

Short Term Missions for Individuals
We also have opportunities for short-term workers to come and assist churches in their ongoing ministries.
There are several ways you can serve:
1. College or Seminary Student-Summer missions (10 weeks) or Semester missions (6 months to a year)
2. USC-2 (2 year commitment for college grads up to 30 years of age)
3. Mission Service Corp (for everyone else - 3 months and up commitment) This is a self supporting position with POSSIBLE help from the local church you serve
All three of these are through the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
4. On your own missions - You deal directly with the local church and you come to an agreement on what they can provide and what you can provide and the length of your stay.

Church to Church Partnerships
Your local church can be partnered with a church or ministry in our Association who could use support both financially and prayerfully. We truly are aiming at this being a partnership and so that church may be able to offer your church training etc on how to help in developing community ministries etc. We already have healthy and successful partnerships with state, association and church partnerships that have proved beneficial for both congregations.
