Degree Tacks: The New York center of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary makes available to their students the follow three options for specialization in the Masters of Divinity program:

 

  • Masters of Divinity with emphasis in pastoral studies (The School of Theology)
  • Masters of Divinity with emphasis in Missions and Evangelism  (The Billy Graham School of Missions and Evangelism)
  • Masters of Divinity with emphasis in Christian Education (The School of Church Ministry)
  • Diploma Program - For individuals thirty years of age or older who do not have a bachelors degree

Location: All classes meet on the third floor of the Metropolitan New York Baptist Association Office,
236 West 72nd Street, New York City (between Broadway and West End Avenue). Take the number 1, 2, or 3 trains to 72nd and Broadway. Walk west toward the Hudson River. The building will be approximately half way down the block on your left hand side.

Meeting Times/Information
: Classes meet on Friday evenings from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The SBTS New York Center follows a semester format of three classes, each five weeks long, resulting in a 15-week semester time length. 

 

Translation Services: In-class translation of lectures is available in Spanish, Korean and Indonesian.  Any student needing any of these translation services must give three weeks prior notice to the center director.

 

RegistrationAll students register for classes on-line at www.sbts.edu.

 

Textbooks: Students are responsible for having the textbooks for each class the first night of that class. Students are encouraged to order textbooks from the LifeWay Store at the main Seminary campus or from any major on-line bookseller.  The campus LifeWay Store can be reached at 502.897.4506 and is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
